| I just realized something. I use the word "wow" and the phrase "I don't believe it", way to often in my weblog. My vocabulary is somewhat limited. Anyway, I know I still have to post photos from Sound Foundations. I also need to post pictures from a church retreat I took to Michigan. Because my computer is so slow at uploading pictures, I think I'll just wait until I visit my lucky high speed internet sister. | | |
| Sept. 10-30, I was attending Sound Foundations 20 at the Indianopapolis Training Center.Wow...that pretty much describes it. When I first learned I was going, I got pretty nervous. ITC has a reputation for being strict...very strict. Wearing skirts, nylons, and dress shoes 24/7, did not sound fun. The rules about not talking to the opposite gender, curfews, and no e-mail did not help either. My dad dropped me on the early afternoon of the 10th. Only a few people had arrived, so I had ample time to worry more about the upcoming weeks. What if the classes were too hard? Would I be able to complete all the assignments? What if the teachers were terrible? What if my team leader was a dictator or all my teammates lazy bums? Could I survive three weeks in the same building wearing skirts all the time?! I'll answer all these questions once I have the time. I'll give a more detailed report once I get my hands on some pictures. | | |
| I can't believe it, I'm actually updating. I just wanted everyone to know that I'm still alive.
Actually, my mom asked me to update. She says I can use the entries on my xanga to help me write a section in my family's end of the year newsletter.
Today was the first day of fencing camp. Technically its not really a camp since it only occurs in the morning. I'm glad, though. If a morning of non-stop fencing can make my legs and arms this sore, I'd hate to think what a whole day would do.
I just got a call from the library. The teen department hosted one of those "how-many-pieces-of-whatever-are-in-the-glass jar" games. Except they didn't use a glass jar. They used a box shaped like a treasure chest full of candy. And I won. I don't remember how many pieces I guessed. I didn't even remember entering that contest until I got the call. I believe the number was 240 something...yuck. Lucky for me, I have siblings (and parents) who are willing to "help" me eat it. | | |
| I had a team fencing tournament yesterday. My team won. Afterwards, when we were all critiquing each other someone told me, "You're really bloodthirsty. If someone gave you a spear, you'd make Eric the Red look like a pansy." I was also told that I need to learn how to retreat. | | |
| Wow...I can't believe it has been over 2 months since I last updated...thats what I get for forgetting my password.
